5 ways to make your wedding day live on

Post wedding blues are definitely a thing. All of that planning and excitement is suddenly gone after the day of your dreams. Here are 5 ways to make your wedding day live on:

1 | Frame your vows

This can be a special way to remember daily the reasons you committed yourselves to each other. Our lives can be so busy that even saying a simple ‘Love you’ can be easily forgotten. Frame your vows and put them somewhere you pass often so you can always be reminded of the love you have.

2 – Re-read your vows each anniversary

3 – Dry your wedding flowers

There are a few ways to achieve this. You could hand your entire bouquet and keep them in a vase, or you could press a few flowers and showcase them in a glass frame. There are several professionals whose sole business is preserving flowers, so it would be worth looking out for one to do this for you. Look for one here.

4 – Frame a record of your first dance song

Better still, get this organized BEFORE the wedding, so you can use it as a ‘guest book’ too! It would make a perfect piece of art for the wall.

5 – Host a watch party with your family + friends

It’s easy to just watch videos on your phones. But why not host a watch party with your friends & family and turn it into a social event. Get some snacks / drinks together and all sit in front of the tv to reminisce together. You might even find some of them have their own take or stories of the day that you’ve not heard before!

My job as a wedding photographer and videographer is to make sure that your day is documented. I have a wealth of experience in different ideas and inspiration that I have seen over the years, so if you would like some help planning your day then get in touch, or view my portfolio to see more of my work.
