Wainwright vintage engagement anyone!? There are so many places to pick when it comes to locations for couples photos here.
When Denee & Ryan contacted me to discuss their wedding plans and asked me to meet them on some private land with their car, I just assumed it would be like any other engagement session.
The sun was golden and as I was driving from Wainwright to a rural part of the Provost area to find them. As I was parked up waiting for them to arrive, I actually heard their car before I saw it. And wow!
They turned up in a vintage Ford pickup truck that absolutely fitted their personalities, the location, the colours, the season- everything. Denee even brought her own props consisting of old suitcases and bags, it was spectacular!
I am a little obsessed myself about vintage inspired sessions and weddings. I love the feeling of nostalgia and often you’ll find me telling my own kids about “…back in my day when I was your age…” stories. This week we discussed how we somehow survived with a single phone that was hanging on the wall that we had to use our fingers to turn the numbers around!
If you are also a vintage junkie, here are some vintage wedding ideas you may like to check out.
We pulled up next to an old barn and caught the sun just before it dipped behind the building top for some beautiful sun-flared photos.
Something I pride myself and my brand on is authenticity and the organic-ness of my couples being completely themselves during a photo session. I do not pose my couples, more I offer gently direction or prompts to get them to fully open up to each other and I’m just there to document them as they are naturally.
It wasn’t hard to get this couple to immerse themselves into each other and it felt totally natural.
I’m super excited to be shooting their wedding and know that they will feel totally comfortable with me based on this engagement session alone.
